Desert Bus for iOS - The dream I’ll never fulfil.

I must have missed this somewhere down the line, but Desert Bus was released for iOS a little while back.

For those of you who are not aware, Desert Bus is a bus driving simulator, in which, you unsurprisingly drive a bus. It originally comes from ‘Penn & Teller’s Smoke & Mirrors’, an unreleased Sega CD and PC. The idea behind the game was to have a collection of mini games that were designed to be intentionally shit…you were supposed to trick your friends into playing them, then laugh at how stupid they were. I guess the fact that someone would have to buy these purposefully shit games in the first place didn’t come under consideration until later in development.

It’s game itself is in real-time. The journey itself takes around 6 hours to complete, and has to be done in one sitting.

It’s always been a ‘dream’ of mine to complete Desert Bus, admittedly a stupid dream, but a dream nonetheless. However, 5 miles into my journey I realised there will come a time when I’m lying on my death bed, and just as I drift peacefully into the dark I’ll think of the thing I regret the most….driving 5 miles on Desert Bus.

I guess I’m the stupid one now.
